LegalPrivacy Policy
Effective date: 30 May 2025. Last updated: 30 May 2025.
This Privacy Policy explains how Vorynza ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Vorynza platform and services.
01
Information we collect
- Account information you provide when registering: name, email address, and password.
- Payment information processed through Paystack. Vorynza does not store card numbers or bank account details directly.
- Usage data including database service metrics, connection counts, and storage consumption.
- Technical information such as IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited for security and analytics purposes.
- Communications you send to Vorynza support, including email content and metadata.
02
How we use your information
- To provision, manage, and monitor your database services.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To send transactional emails: service status updates, billing notices, and security alerts.
- To investigate and respond to support requests.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- To improve the Vorynza platform based on aggregate usage patterns.
03
Data storage and security
- Vorynza stores your data on AWS infrastructure. Data at rest is encrypted. Database credentials are encrypted using AES-256-GCM.
- Passwords are hashed using a one-way function and are never stored or transmitted in plain text.
- Access to production systems is restricted to authorized Vorynza personnel and is logged.
- Vorynza uses SSL/TLS for all data in transit between your application and your database.
04
Data sharing
- Vorynza does not sell your personal data.
- We share data with third-party service providers only as necessary to operate the platform: AWS (infrastructure), Paystack (billing), and analytics providers.
- We may disclose data if required by applicable law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- In the event of a merger or acquisition, data may be transferred as part of that transaction with advance notice.
05
Your data and customer databases
- Data you store in Vorynza-provisioned databases belongs to you. Vorynza does not access your database contents except as required to resolve support issues with your explicit consent.
- You can export your data at any time via your database connection string using standard PostgreSQL tools (pg_dump).
- On service deletion, your database is removed from the shared RDS cluster. Backups are retained for the duration specified in your plan before permanent deletion.
06
Cookies and tracking
- Vorynza uses session cookies for authentication. These are essential and cannot be disabled.
- We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate page view tracking. No personal identifiers are stored in analytics.
- We do not use advertising trackers or retargeting pixels.
07
Data retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- On account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Aggregate, anonymized usage data may be retained for operational purposes.
- Billing records are retained for 7 years as required for financial compliance.
- Audit logs are retained for 12 months.
08
